As European Professionals Network (EPN), we continue to bring together experts representing various professions on the last Sunday of every month to provide the attendants with the opportunity to discuss current developments and issues.
Short Biography of YurttagülBorn in Turkey’s Antakya province in 1953, the veteran political advisor began his postsecondary education at Ankara University’s Faculty of Political Sciences in 1970 and completed it at Freie Universität of Berlin, where he also taught classes on the EU. He, then, worked as a project coordinator at Germany’s Federal Ministry of Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth. Yurttagül has been working with the Greens from its beginnings and he has been a political advisor at the EP since 1985. His articles have been published in various media outlets with primarily being Today’s Zaman.

** EVENT REPORT

The EPN Breakfast Talks 16 took place with our guest Ali Yurttagül ( Political advisor for the Greens in the European Parliament ) in a friendly environment last Sunday . The subject of the talk was : European Union`s test with coups and democracy in the context of Egypt and Gezi incidents . He touched on crucial issues such as ” Importance of Turkey’s EU process ; causes and consequences of Arab Spring; inception of democracy from the perspective of Gezi , Egypt and Syria incidents. We share some scenes of this fruitful event where the participants had their Sunday breakfast before the rewarding talk of Mr.Yurttagul.
